General Minecraft Server Rules:
- No Cheating
- No Griefing
- No Random Killing (You can defend your base (with automated turrets for example (more on that later)) against intruders and thieves)
- No Stealing
Conventional Warfare:
- To declare war, both parties have to agree to be at war, which allows random killing of enemy teammates and stealing from the enemy base.
- Peace works the same way, with both parties having to agree to a cease fire.
- In case of war without official agreement, the party opposed to the war can sue for peace by making their case to an admin.
- High explosives are fair game, as long as war is declared.
- You can kill anyone trying to enter your territory, as long as your territory is well defined and enclosed (chain-link fence around perimeter for example, or clearly marked bunker door).
- Defense systems such as landmines or automated turrets are accepted as a valid form of protection, so long as they do not target outside of the perimeter of your base.
- Do try to extend some leniency to people who accidentally tunnel into your top secret nuclear bunker.
Nuclear Warfare:
- To enter into nuclear war, certain conditions are to be met.
- You are required to have been leading conventional warfare with another party for a minimum of 3 real life days.
- The opposing party must have the technology to be able to defend themselves from nuclear warfare and retaliate.
- Nuclear warfare must be confirmed by admins and announced to the opposing party at least 1 full day before the use of nuclear weapons.
- Decisions made by admins are final and definite. If an admin denies the use of nuclear weapons, they have a reason to. You are obliged to respect the decision of the admins.
- If you disagree with the decision of an admin, please calmly state this at a later time with an argument to support why you disagree.
Meta Rules:
- No Loopholes
Remember that not reading the rules does not exempt you from them
I will freely admit that these rules are imperfect, and make it much harder for players to engage in warfare.
If you have any ideas on how to improve this, preferably without messing with our large fraction of PvE players, please Contact Me.
